The Wife

About Me: I feel like I had THE BEST childhood. I have 1 older sister that is 3.5 years older than me. I have 2 brothers who are 4 and 5.5 years younger than me. I have two loving parents who love me, help me, teach me, guide me, and support me. They were the parents that came to every possible game, swim meet, birthday party, etc. They were truly interested in my life and wanted to always be there for me.

My mom was able to stay at home and she wore many hats: chef, maid, chauffeur, home accountant, personal shopper, secretary, etc. She is an awesome and inspiring mom. I hope to be be half the mom she is and can't wait for my children to get to know her and all her great qualities.

My dad was able to become a dentist and support our family comfortably. Because of his hard work we were able to take frequent family vacations, enjoy extracurricular activities, participate in sports, and (like I said before) have a mom that was able to be at home full-time. He was able to manipulate his work schedule so that he could be home on Fridays so we had the privilege of having dad home that day when we got home from school.

I was able to participate in softball, soccer, and the swim team. I also took lessons for the piano and violin (only for a few years). I was able to make the varsity swim team when I was in 9th grade and participated in that for all 4 years of high school. I had 2 really good groups of friends in junior high and high school. I keep in touch with all these girls, but mostly only one group. It has been fun to have life-long friends that have experienced most of my life with me. They are a great support and fun to be with.

Growing up, I thought my life was great but I also thought it was "normal". However, the older I get, I realize that it was very privileged and easy. I am very appreciative my family life growing up. I truly hope that I will be able to provide this great of a life for my (future) children.
